Howard Stern and Sirius

Howard Stern was born January 12, 1954 in the Queens neighborhood of Jackson Heights in New York City.  He got his first job at Boston University’s campus radio station. After graduating and getting a FCC license, he went into radio professionally.

These beginnings evolved into Stern becoming a radio talk show host. His style is outspoken which makes a lot of people angry. When Selena was murdered, he mocked at all the mourners and poked fun at her music. Stern has the distinction of having on his radio show prostitutes, strippers, porn stars, and lesbians. However, he says that he has always be faithful to his wife, Alison Berns, with whom he has three daughters.

Stern always appears on his radio show with his sidekick, Robin Quivers. She’s the anchor which holds down Howard Stern. Her prudence adds common sense to the wild Howard Stern.

Simon & Schulster paid Stern $1 million to write his autobiography. He named it “Private Parts.” In November 7, 1965, Stern released his second book, “Miss America.” It also became a number one best seller across the nation.

In 1993, Stern’s autobiography was made into a movie. It made $41 million. His fans nominated Stern the BlockBuster Entertainment Award for favorite male newcomer. Stern won by a wide margin. Because of Stern’s use of sexual and racial humor in the film, he also got the Razzie Award for the Worst New Star.

Today, you can find Howard Stern on Sirius Satellite Radio. There are no FCC regulations so Stern can be as outrageous as he wants. “Time” magazine included Stern on the list of the 100 most influential people. “Forbes” ranks Stern on the list of the world’s most powerful celebrities.
