For the scene of your photograph, you can have a rural scene, a urban scene, an underwater scene, or an aerial scene. The goal is to create a scenic photograph that is appealing to the viewer.
There are three types of scenes: representational, impressionist, or abstract. When a photographer wants a representational scene, he will take the photograph straight on so that it looks as realistic as possible.
When the photographer wants an impressionist scene, it is not realistic. The viewer uses his/her emotion to personalize the photo.
An abstract photo uses designs as a scene. Reality is unimportant. The focus is on a technique or a focus.
