First Date Ideas

When choosing the location of your first date with someone, really think through it. If you are spending three hours with someone then you may not want to spend the first two of them watching a movie; instead you should take that time to get to know each other. To relieve some of the stress or pressure, you may want to try a daytime date instead of going out at night.

A great place to start could be a local coffee shop where you can sit and just talk to each other. If this is not the right place because you are afraid of the awkward silence, try a trip to the zoo. Here you can always find something interesting to discuss with each other. In between the animal conversations you can talk about yourself. This way the conversation will never really hit the silence everyone dreads and you will get to know each other better.

You may be comfortable enough to go out for a night date, and many people choose dinner and a movie. Try being a little more unique and go someplace like a wine tasting or maybe a pool hall or miniature golf course. With the wine tasting you can both have a great conversation while learning about the different types of wine and what they go best with. You can use all this information for your second date, too. The pool hall and miniature golf will keep the distractions higher but it can be a little more comfortable and relaxed, a better place to really be yourself.
