First Date Tips

There are a few tips that will ensure a successful first date. These tips are easy to follow, and well worth the effort!

The first tip is to keep that first date light and fun. That means staying positive. Romance can never bloom if old baggage is dragged out of the closet on the first outing, so don’t speak disrespectfully of your exes!

You never want to spill the beans on a first date, so the second tip is: Don’t get tipsy! Overindulgence can lead to serious regrets and embarrassment the next morning.

Confidence is always attractive, so the third tip is to be just that. Never point out your flaws to your new prospective lover. Mystery is a big part of romance, and romance can be cut short with too much information.

This leads us to the forth tip: Listen, and be considered a brilliant conversationalist! You already know all about yourself, so focus on your date and learn as much as you can to see if this is someone you want to pursue.

The fifth tip varies for men and women. Ladies, men love to chase, so let the man do the follow-up calling. Men, always show some class and either say, “I’d like to see you again,” perhaps punctuated with a goodnight kiss. If you don’t want to meet again, say, “It was nice to meet you,” maybe with a peck on the cheek. Ladies, responding to a first date goodnight kiss is perfectly acceptable. Stop at that first kiss and keep the anticipation building for that second date!
